So excited to be co hosting the Tuesday Trend Spin Linkup.  I missed last week so I am actually killing two birds with one stone.  Last week was denim and I went all denim from head to ankle.  I am obsessed with these distressed light wash boyfriend jeans from Kut from the Kloth.  When going for this look you don't have to match the denim perfectly, thats the beauty they should complement each other.  The denim shirt is a hard thing to find because you have so many versions with chambray and light blue oxford shirts.  This denim shirt is the perfect wash and softness to wear on a weekly bases with any color skirt, pant, or jean.  I prefer a light or medium wash denim when doing denim on top and bottom.
Want a way to add fun to your step and solid look?  Add a printed shoe.  I feel in love with these cute leopard tennis shoes from Target and had to have them, I am usually a white and black converse girl.  They can bring any pair of jeans to a fun and playful level.  The black white and grey colors also give a neutral base to be able to pop a bright spring color with them.  Running around on the weekends you always want to be comfortable and confident, its easy with a animal or any print sneaker.  I love having fun with my shoes, I always say my feet are the skinniest part of my so I love to make them feel good with flirty shoes.  When your getting ready for your easter dinner this week pick up a pair of fun sneakers to either run around town in, wear to a casual patio dinner, or to workout in.

Inspiration // Five Best . . .

This week/end is very deserving of lots of praise and blessing from the Father above.  He has brought so many wonderful things into my life in the past 6 months.  I just wanted to share a few of them with you and possibly inspire you this weekend.

1. Calling Jesus App by Sarah Young
This app is refreshing and inspirational way to start your day.   You wake up and read a nice daily devotional with verses to correspond instead of checking instagram and Facebook, you are sure to have a different look on the day ahead.  You can also make notes about how you are feeling at the time or what this verse mean to you.  Mark it as a favorite to find later when sharing with others.  There is a lite version that is free.

2. Heather Lindsey Instagram / Lindsey's App / Heather Lindsey
This Godly woman knows how to get you in the right direction when it comes to Jesus, dating, marriage, and motherhood.  God is truly speaking through her on a daily basis to help women all over the world.  Her and her husband started a church right her in Atlanta and I can't wait to go.  If they inspire at church as much as they do through social media it will be time well spent.  If you aren't in Atlanta and want to hear more about Heather Lindsey you can order her books, which are amazing, visit her you tube channel, and follow her through social media.

3. Quite Women Co.
This instagram page has brought me so much joy through this season of my life.  A good friend tagged me in a post one day last year and I have been hooked ever since.  As a single girl in the world you want to be on the same page as your peers and friends.  Sometimes its just not the time for you and thats ok.  This blog/instagram/youtube channel has helped remind me that I am right where I should be, keep trusting Him and He will show me the way.  Staying true to myself, not giving into temptation and lowering my standards will be reward enough when the right man is lead into my life.  So for my single girls make sure you check this out.  I promise you will not be disappointed.

4. The Grove at Passion City Church Atlanta, GA
This monthly gathering has brought the women of Atlanta together for one reason, that is their love of Jesus.  I have been blown away by the unknown message each month and how women come from ever stage, season, and age of life to fellowship with each other, listen and worship the message of Jesus and what he has planned for us, eternal life.  Shelley Giglio has brought so much light to our Monday nights.  I know I am not the only one when I say this, " I wish every week we got to meet at the Grove".

5. Grouplink through Buckhead Church / Small Group
Last but definitely not least is my small group.  This year I joined a small group through grouplink at Buckhead Church.  This amazing group of women is the reason I am writing this post.  This past Monday at our meeting we had powerful discussion and it really moved me to share with you my favorite social media and events that inspire me and my faith each day.  Through our busy work days, complicated romances, and life in general we manage to meet every week to help each other grow and and over come obstacles to become the best we can be for Jesus, our saviour.  I don't know what I would do with out these girls, though I have only known them for a short time I know they are there for me spiritually and will help me stay strong in my faith.

I hope this brings list brings you some encouragement to pursue your faith and build your relationship with God.  Its an amazing journey and I am excited to share with you the little ways I keep it on my mind daily.  Please feel free to let me know any ways you like to keep your faith strong through connecting with others or social media.

Outfit Post // Olive You

Denim Jacket Kut from the Kloth //  Top (old from j.crew but similar herehere, and here // Bottoms Kut from the Kloth // Shoes Sam Edelman // Necklace J.Crew Factory // Sunglasses  Givenchy

This week is flying by and before I know it I will be heading for Pensacola for a dear friends wedding this weekend.  This spring weather has just been delightful.  Not to hot, not to cold.  Most nights you need a light jacket.  Just like this one from one of my new showroom brands Kut from the Kloth.  They have mastered the perfect denim jacket in fit and price.
The other staple in my spring wardrobe are these olive pants from Kut from the cloth.  I am so excited to have found a great bottom that not only fits me well, has a high rise, I get to size down in, and I can do a great front tuck with.  You girls know what I am talking about, finding a great jean/pant do have a front tuck with is hard to come by these days.  I feel like I have been hiding under a rock and just found the light when I was introduced to Kut from the Kloth which has a great price point and fit.
Have a very happy Wednesday and remember "Olive You" readers and followers of Sell. Eat. Love.

Outfit Post // Gray Scale

Sweater Old Navy love this too //  White Jeans Kut from the Kloth  // Necklace here and its only $22 // Shoes Rowen Footwear c/o   // Tote Annabel Ingail // Sunglasses Tory Burch

I can feel spring in the air but not quite ready to let go of the full length pants and sweaters.  So what do you wear when the seasons are changing? Neutrals!  I love mixing grey, beige, and white together.  It blends nicely and even allows you to pop a color and blue seems to be the popular color right now. I have noticed and am taking full advantage of the metal color silver coming back into the spot light.  I know this is crazy to say but i needed a little break from gold.  Everything is my home has gold accents and i love how fresh and clean silver looks, like these shoes from Rowen Footwear.  The silver color blends with the grey and white and pops with the metallic look all at the same time.

Travel // New Orleans + Bachelorette Party

Time for a bachelorette Party recap and tips for planning a trip to New Orleans.  I am finally feeling back to normal after a crazy, adventurous, and party filled weekend in New Orleans for my girl, Katie's, bachelorette weekend.  We ate good food, spent quality time together, got dressed up, drank lots of good drinks, danced on bars, and was even spooked on a ghost tour.  The weekend was a huge success and everyone made it home alive, maybe a little hungover, but alive.

When planning a trip to of any kind, know the reason and then start picking spots to visit and try from there.  A bachelorette party needs some structure but not a full itinerary with specific times for everything.  You are traveling with a lot of people, all women, and being on time for something is just not in the cards.

AIRBNB
As a group we decided renting a house would be cost efficient and easier for the group to enjoy time together in common living areas.  We also cooked dinner our selves the first night, so being able to stay "home" in our pjs and eat a self cooked meal was a highlight.  The house was amazing. The link about is where we stayed.  The owner of the home, Jo, was just the most delightful and wonderful lady.  She had the house all set up for us with everything we could think of needing or wanting.

Sight Seeing -
While the first day was a little windy and cold the best thing for us to do was get our drink on early.  Se we started bar hopping around The French Quarter.  There are so many old and unique bars with drinks that are a staple on their menus.  Here are a list of must visit bars and the drinks they are known for . . .
Lafitte"s Blacksmith Shop Bar - The Purple Drank
Napoleon House- The best Pimms Cup in town
Carousel Bar and Lounge - An indoor carousel

Food -
The food in this town deserves no other word but AMAZING.  Starting off the trip with beignet and a cafe au lait from Cafe Du Monde, warmed us right up.  Honestly our priority was visiting the bar scene, so we only went to a couple restaurants but here are a list of my favorites from this trip and past trips.  Our favorite lunch spot was The Butcher, owned by Cochon, another amazing restaurant that should 100% be on your list.  Butcher is counter service with amazing sandwiches and sides.  If you like meat you will not be disappointed.

Ghost Tour -
If you need an activity for a big group and want to keep drink, do as they do in New Orleans, a ghost tour is the perfect activity for any group.  The girls I was with love a good ghost story and are all addicted to AHS, so this was right up their ally.  Our tour was good we drank hurricanes and got to see a lot of New Orleans we would have not seen or much less payed attention to.  There was some crazy people who did crazy things in New Orleans over the years.

Ok so that about sums up the weekend and how to plan a great bachelorette weekend.  Remember to have a plan but not be committed to it, find fun bars with great drinks, be adventurous, try new things, and most importantly have FUN!!!
