To celebrate National Health Food Month my good friends Peaches to Pearls and H M Willow hosted a beautiful mason jar salad making party. Sunday is the perfect day to get prepped for you weed day emails, especially lunch when its so easy to just buy. Prepping on sunday gives you the ease of grabbing and going to work and eating healthy every day.
First get mason jars, small for a side salad, large for an entrée salad. You can always add grilled chicken to either size for even more protein.
Second get lettuces, kale, spinach, or mixed greens are best.
Third get toppings lots of toppings, carrots, herbs, edemame, black beans, broccoli, cauliflower, tomatoes, and anything else you like to add to a salad.
Fourth make a rice or quinoa for your base.
Fifth make a or buy a salad dressing that compliments the toppings you pick.
Sixth build your mason jar salad in this order :
quinoa or rice base
close up lid
make 5 one for each day of the week
